In short
Neither app collects, sends, sells or shares any personal or usage data. There is no account, no sign-up, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking. Everything the apps save stays on your phone.
Kiln
What Kiln collects
Nothing. Kiln does not collect or transmit any data.
What stays on your phone
- Your finished focus sessions (duration, time, tag and the settings used to draw each artwork)
- Your settings and tags
This information never leaves your phone. Uninstalling Kiln, or clearing its storage in Android Settings, deletes it.
Permissions
- Notifications: shows the live countdown while a session runs in the background.
- Set wallpaper: only used when you choose to set a piece as your wallpaper.
Sharing a piece uses Android’s share sheet; you choose where it goes.
Klee
What Klee collects
Nothing. Klee does not collect or transmit any data.
What stays on your phone
- Your saved pieces (the style, palette and settings used to draw each one) and favourites
- Your settings
- Images you choose to download, saved to
Pictures/Kleeon your device
This information never leaves your phone. Uninstalling Klee, or clearing its storage in Android Settings, deletes its saved pieces and settings. Downloaded images stay in your Pictures folder until you delete them.
Permissions
- Set wallpaper: only used when you choose to set a piece as your wallpaper.
- Storage (Android 9 and older only): used to save a downloaded image to your Pictures folder.
Sharing a piece uses Android’s share sheet; you choose where it goes.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and they collect no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
